Assignment Eleven
This is a shopping assignment. If you continue on to CNIT 132 you will need to find and rent a web hosting service, so I want you to do your shopping now. Your Web host will need to offer a few services (listed below), find the one that has the best deal.
Web Hosting Requirements
  • Enough space for a descent size web site (at least a few Gigs)
  • A Domain Name
  • Server Side Services including
    1. FTP uploading using an FTP client like Filezilla
    2. PhP and MySQL services
    3. CGI and Perl Services
  • Create a short (less than 1 page) summary of what you found including how many places you looked at, which one was the best deal and why.
  • Send your assignment to  ncook@ccsf.edu As an attachment (Open Office or Microsoft Office format only)
  • In the Subject line use " CNIT 131 Assignment 11 "
  • In the body of the email enter your full name
