Prepare the Company Books for Audit (worth 250 points) --
Prepare a presentation quality set of the books for your company. The documents should be presented in a fashion which is easy for someone to find what they are looking for. Your documents should include:
  • Chart of Accounts
  • T-Accounts
  • Trial Balance
  • The General Journal
  • The General Ledger
  • The Worksheet
  • A Post-Closing Trial Balance
  • A set of Financial Statements for the end of the Accounting Cycle:
    • Income Statement
    • Statement of Owner's Equity
    • Balance Sheet
  • Depreciation Schedules for each depreciated item
  • The Payroll Worksheet
  • Ratio Analysis
  • An Inventory Worksheet
How to Turn In This Assignment --
All of your documents should be emailed to me by Wednesday, May 17th (by midnight) for you to prepare to sit down with me on Monday, May 22nd.

Zip all of your documents into 1 file and send them to me by email. Name the zipped file: a15 first initial of your first name last name.zip (example: a15ncook.zip)
At Meeting Time --

I will sit down with you on the day of the final audit and have you go over your books with me. You will need to bring a second set of printed books (an exact copy of what you emailed me) with you when you enter the classroom. Grading will be according to accuracy and consistency.
