UEFI Secure Boot
- Designed to be an encrypted verification of all code launched by the firmware
- If your machine was built for Windows the firmware only looks for Microsoft Certifications, forcing you to turn off Secure Boot for other OS’s
- There are ways to keep it on with some Linux versions
Turning off Secure Boot Does not make your Linux Box Unsecure
Linux is Way-Way-Way-Way more secure than Windows
If the computer was purchased with another OS on it the Firmware certificates will reflect that OS
