Determine the number of drives and partitions there are on your
system. Redirect this output to a file to be turned in.

If you have unallocated space on a drive you can use it, but you most
likely will need to make room by shrinking an existing volume.
So shrink a volume to make room for your new partition. Repeat the
first step and redirect append the results into the same file.

Add a new partition to your machine using the space you have just cleared
in the previous step.

Format your new partition.

Repeat step one and redirect append the results into the same file.
