Upstart Example

CUPS is a printing service but it’s not starting

Type ls /etc/init/cups.* and press Enter

Type cat /etc/init/cups.override and press Enter

The override file contains the text manual, preventing cups from starting

echo manual > /etc/init/cups.override

Use this command if file is not there, you may need to up your authority
