Increase Swap Space

When you installed Linux you created a swap partition as part of the process. Usually this partition should be adequate to meet your needs. However, you can increase it’s size

Swap space is used to create virtual memory and make your computer work as if you had more memory (RAM)

You can use GParted to change the size of your swap partition, just remember you need to boot to another device because you cannot repartition a partition you are using
