First NAT vs PAT

What I described last week as NAT, is actually a specific subset of NAT known as PAT.

PAT

NAT (Network Address Translation) is a 1 for 1 translation of Private Addresses for Public Addresses

It Does Not Save you any IP Addresses

PAT (Port Address Translation) is a Many to 1 translation of Private Addresses for Public Addresses

It Does Save you any IP Addresses
