Linux / Unix Functionality
If you have had a Linux / Unix class you will already know that any distribution of Linux stores the commands you enter into a buffer
The Cisco version of Linux supports this by mode, each mode will retain a history of commands
The Up-Arrow Key can will step you through you previously entered commands one by one
(or <ctrl> + p if you have no arrow keys)
The Down-Arrow Key can will step you through you previously entered commands in the opposite direction
(or <ctrl> + n if you have no arrow keys)
By default each buffer is 10 commands long, which you can change with the “terminal history size” command
