Switch not Booting up – How do I Fix It

Access Switch Command Line Interface (CLI) by:

Step 1: Connect Switch to a Computer by console cable to the switch console port

Step 2: Configure terminal emulation software (like PuTTY) to connect to the switch

Step 3: Recycle Power by Unplugging the switch power cord

Step 4: Change Switch to CLI Input mode

4A: Within 15 seconds of power up start

press and hold down the Mode button

while the System LED is still flashing green

4B: Continue pressing the Mode button until

the System LED turns briefly amber and then solid green

4C: Release the Mode button

Step 5. The boot loader switch: prompt appears in the terminal emulation software on the Computer

You are now in a specialized Linux Operating System, where you can move files from your computer to the switch
