Reasons For Static Routes

It routes to and from stub networks, a network accessed by a single route, and the router has only one neighbor

So, if the whole point of Routing is to have the Routers determine the best path, Why would I want to Lock to a single fixed Route with a Static Address ?

It provides ease of routing table maintenance in smaller networks that are not expected to grow significantly
