In this assignment you will you will write instructions which will include at least 1 drawing on how to properly build a standard UTP patch cable. Ideally your instructions should be a step by step sequence that starts with the materials required and ends with a finished cable.

You can download this standard patch cable wiring diagram. You will use this information to create a patch (straight through) cable that can be used in the lab

• The materials required to perform the task by proper industry names -- this includes any tools which will be needed
• A wiring diagram showing wire colors for each wire and how each wire gets connected to the pins in both connectors
• Step-by-step instructions which include how to prepare the wire to be inserted into the connectors

Create a 1 page document that tells me what the difference is between a "Straight Through" cable and a "Cross-over" cable and how to create a Cross- over cable. While it is not required, you should know I like diagrams and pictures
