How to Elect A Root Bridge Using STA

• Bridge Priority:
• Priority Value Range 0 to 61440 Decimal
• Cisco default priority value 32768
• The Lower the Score the Better
• A bridge priority of 0 takes precedence
• Extended System ID:
• Decimal value added to bridge priority
• Identifies the VLAN for this BPDU
• MAC address:
• Tie Breaker
• The switch having the MAC address with the lowest (hex) value wins
