A Trip on A Train (or three)
And then there was our first and only ride on the Blue Line.

This was Debbie and my first time on a train. We took a train (BART) to get to the station in Martinez and another train (The Blue Line) to get to to get from the Los Angeles rail station to Long Beach. |

The trip was actually quite nice. We had a few meals on the train. We
shared our table with some other people each time. We got to see the Shuttle
Facility at Vandenburg. The scenery was great once we got below San Jose.
It did take a long time to get back though. By the time we got to the main
train station in Los Angeles the Red line (which takes you from the train
station to the blue line) was closed, so we had to walk several blocks in LA
with luggage. And then there was our first and only ride on the Blue Line. |
